A youthful Christ hands scrolls to Saints Peter and Paul. He sits on a throne above a figure identified as Caelus, "the sky," by Ladner (70). Compare Psalm 10:5, "The Lord's throne is in heaven" and Isaiah 66:1, "Heaven is my throne, and the earth my footstool." See similar phrases at 1 Kings 8:49 and Psalms 88:38, 102:19.
